System Activation consists of:
- Activating and leak testing the water source
- Activating the electronic timer and testing the wiring for valve actuation
- Checking the system zone by zone for winter damage and landscape adjustments
- Clearing winter growth from around all heads
- Minor head aim adjustments to address coverage
- Minor repairs such as broken nozzles or sprinkler heads will be performed at this time
- Any major repairs or changes that present themselves during these visits will be reported and an estimate will be submitted for approval before work commences
It is important to monitor your business’s irrigation system throughout the operating season and watch for damage or landscape changes that could impact sprinkler coverage, creating dry or wet areas, as well as the frequency and duration of the watering cycle to reduce water waste and improve plant health.
It is important to do regular checks in between maintenance visits to ensure your business is saving money. A single broken sprinkler head left unchecked can waste over 500 gallons of water per cycle.
It is advisable to have at least one assessment during the middle of the season to ensure the irrigation system is functioning properly and the watering schedule reflects current weather conditions.
These assessments, if done monthly, can provide substantial water savings by keeping the system running at peak efficiency throughout the season and reducing water waste and high water bills.
Site Assessments consist of:
- Checking the system zone by zone for coverage and damages
- The electronic timer will be adjusted if necessary to reflect seasonal changes in watering requirements
- Minor repairs such as broken nozzles or sprinkler heads will be performed at this time
- Any major repairs or changes that present themselves during these visits will be reported and an estimate will be submitted for approval before work commences
Fall Winterization Service consists of:
- Deactivating the water source
- Shutting down the electronic timer
- Purging all water from valves, sprinkler lines and heads, as well as backflow preventers and plumbing lines with high pressure air
- Sealing the system until the Activation Service commences the following spring
